Come ready to shine the light—God will bring the people

We want to restore the body of Christ by engaging with members not in regular fellowship, often due to church hurt. Through outreaches, we seek to instill biblical principles to draw them back to church.
Analogy: Ever had food poisoning? You didn’t stop eating—you just became more careful about your food choices.

“Yes and!” “All of the above!” There are many, many ways to the share our hope that is found in Christ Jesus our Lord. Gospel tracts, one on one conversations, handing out water, praying for people, developing relationships and friendships.
We seek to go out where the people are to events with large crowds, just downtown or while out shopping.

HDL is not an entity, building, church, or non-profit—we’re a Jesus Outreach Movement partnering with the Holy Spirit and kingdom builders to build God’s Kingdom on Earth as in Heaven. We intentionally engage the public by joining other groups’ outreaches, collaborating with churches, inviting members to our outreaches, and uniting diverse groups by introducing them to each other.

We seek to remove obstacles to gospel sharing, like fear of the unknown, not knowing what to say, and unbiblical teachings. For example, some believers think tracts are unfriendly, impersonal, and ineffective. We counter this by teaching that a tract is a miniature Bible—something any Christian would want to share. Others believe they need special training to evangelize. We counter with biblical examples, like the demoniac, who, despite no training, was told by Jesus to share his story.

Every encounter is an inherent prayer request:
Please take a moment as you peruse our past events to pray for one person whom we contacted
We believe in the power of prayer
HDL joined the crowds on a chilly December night to bring the true Light amid the dazzling parade floats, and holiday cheer. Lord, keep drawing these hearts closer to You.

Lord, warm the hearts that felt shame or uncertainty; fan the flames of enthusiasm we saw; and bring lasting fruit from every conversation and prayer. Multiply these encounters for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🎄✨
On a bright October morning in Manitou Springs, Melany and Steve showed up for the annual Coffin Races. We found open hearts, meaningful conversations, and plenty of opportunities to share the hope of Christ.
