Majesty in the Rocks: Connecting the World to the Creator

Praise God for an afternoon amid red rock wonders where tourists from many nations encountered the love of Christ. Seeds planted in stunning creation—Lord, water them abundantly.

People Encountered & Moments

  • Ali (from Jordan) — Believes good deeds outweigh bad. Heard an abbreviated Gospel presentation of grace through faith alone.
  • Two guys from Brazil — Raised Catholic but not practicing. Received the 4 Gospels; one committed to reading it every night.
  • Tamara — Saw the shirt, grew up 30 minutes from me in Illinois. Loves Jesus—joyful connection.
  • Rita & Bettany — Heard the Gospel; at the end, a random lady walked up and affirmed: "Asking Jesus into your heart is the best decision you'll ever make." Divine encouragement!
  • A bunch of YWAM kids (heading to Turkey and a dangerous Asia spot) — Including Liam and Abby. Shared Gospel hope with bold missionaries-to-be.
  • Brazil family — Celebrating IVF miracle of their daughter. Rejoiced together in God's gift of life.
  • Ukraine family (with green cards, living in Castle Rock) — Connected to Marina and ServeNow for ongoing support.

Encouragement for Us

International faces (Venezuela, Mexico, Jordan, Egypt, Ukraine, Brazil+) reminded us the Gospel is for the nations—right here in Colorado's backyard.

Tina's smile handing out the last cocoa captured the joy!

Winter Flames of Hope: Gospel Amid Olympic Celebration

  • Aniya & Jeremiah — Heard the full Gospel and responded positively—open and receptive.
  • Carina (part of the crew/team) — Unsure of salvation; brief Gospel explanation to affirm grace alone.
  • Tom & Mary Wagner — Tom (SIU Saluki alum, attorney in the Springs since 2014) has no God relationship. Shared Phil Nelson's recent campus evangelism example; gave invite to Jives coffee, combined Gospels, and JPS biz card.
  • Amy (U of I grad, here for wheelchair basketball; works for US Figure Skating) — Gospel shared in conversation.
  • Chris (policeman) — Doesn't know Jesus. Thanked for service; gave Little Jesus figurine and Gospel harmony—he promised to read it.

Multiply these encounters for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen. ⛰️❄️🏅✨

🎉Celebrating Christ's birth by making Him known 🎉

Thank you to everyone who braved the chilly December night to join the crowds and bring the true Light amid the dazzling parade floats, balloons, and holiday cheer. Every encounter is an inherent prayer request—Lord, keep drawing these hearts closer to You.

👥 People Encountered

  • Markell — One week out of prison, with visible shame crossing his face at times. We refreshed him with the Gospel of grace alone, reminded him he's a new creation in Christ. He lingered with us for a while, receiving encouragement from Tina and John, plus some warm hot cocoa.
  • Naomi — Overflowing with enthusiasm for the Lord. Her joy was infectious; I asked her to pray that I'd receive even 10% of her zeal!
  • Group of young Christians — Searching for a church with a strong youth ministry. We pointed them to The Sanctuary Church (TSC) and offered to connect them with Natalie (around their age).
  • Young man — On fire for Jesus and passionate about sharing the Gospel. His energy lifted our spirits.
  • Larry (encountered by John) — Believes in Jesus but uncertain about salvation and heaven. John shared the depth of Jesus' love—that nothing can separate him from the Great I Am—gave Romans 10:9, prayed with him, and encouraged daily time in the Word.

🙏 Specific Prayer Requests

  • Markell — Freedom from shame; deep embrace of his new identity in Christ; ongoing openness to fellowship and truth.
  • Larry — Assurance of salvation through Romans 10:9; strength to read Scripture daily; victory over doubts.
  • Naomi — That her contagious enthusiasm would continue to draw others to Jesus.
  • The young Christians — Successful connection to TSC and Natalie; thriving in a vibrant youth community.
  • The young man — Bold opportunities to spread the Gospel; protection and fruitfulness in his passion.
  • All parade-goers who heard truth — That the seeds of grace planted in the lights and cold would grow in warm hearts.

✝️ Heard the Gospel

Clear presentations of salvation by grace through faith: refreshing Markell as a new creation, assuring Larry of unbreakable love with Romans 10:9, and joyful sharing in conversations with eager believers.

💡 Encouragement for Us

  • Naomi's zeal reminded us of the pure joy in the Lord—we prayed together for more of it!
  • Divine redirection: We sought some Mormon contacts but found encouragement instead through passionate believers.
  • Connecting seekers to a solid church felt like perfect timing.
  • People lingering for ministry (like Markell with cocoa and conversation) showed real receptivity amid the holiday bustle.

👥 The Team; Steve, Ward, Tina, John, Sue, Bob, and Shon (thank you for stepping out in the cold!)

Lord, thank You for the Parade of Lights—not just the twinkling floats and millions of bulbs, but for shining Your true Light through Your people on December 6. Warm the hearts that felt shame or uncertainty; fan the flames of enthusiasm we saw; and bring lasting fruit from every conversation and prayer. Multiply these encounters for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🎄✨

⚰️ Coffin Races Outreach — Light in Unexpected Places

On a bright October morning in Manitou Springs, Melany and Steve showed up for the annual Coffin Races — a playful, good-humored community event that celebrates creativity more than darkness. Amid costumes, laughter, and cheering families, we found open hearts, meaningful conversations, and plenty of opportunities to share the hope of Christ.

Every smile, every handshake, and every “thank you” carried something eternal. What began as a quirky fall festival became a field of divine appointments.

✨ Highlights from the Day

  • Brandon (#52) — Loves Jesus but isn’t connected to a church. Lives near the Citadel; invited to attend there. Received two “Little Jesus” figurines to share.

  • Predy — Remembered us from last year! He still had the same tract, gladly took a fresh one and a Jesus Graphic Novel, and heard again about the thief on the cross.

  • Brandy and her kids (Isaiah and sister) — Catholic background; heard the message of the three crosses and received encouragement to keep seeking truth in Christ.

  • Jared and three friends — Took the “$20 for 10 Commandments” challenge. Jared admitted he didn’t believe in heaven or hell, but he listened and heard the Gospel clearly.

  • Deja and Trina (from Zeal Church) — Joined us mid-event and began handing out tracts. A surprise boost of teamwork and shared mission energy!

  • Johnny and family — Believers but currently not attending church. We prayed for renewed conviction and connection; they received a TSC card.

  • Dan — Curious about purgatory; heard truth about salvation through grace alone.

  • Tyler — HVAC worker, newly married; received prayer and encouragement for his new marriage.

  • Tracy — Contractor with Meiter; described recent personal “dumpster-fire” challenges. Heard comfort and hope in Christ.

  • Speed Racer Couple — Posed for photos; both believers involved in local churches.

  • Scott — Self-described “people watcher.” Received an invitation to Jive’s Coffee and a Little Jesus reminder of hope.

🙏 Thank You, Lord for turning a lighthearted community race into a day of eternal conversations. Where others saw “coffins,” we saw living hearts open to truth and grace.

🎉 Labor Day Liftoff Outreach — Seeds of Hope 🎉

Over Labor Day weekend, HopeDealers.Life joined thousands at the Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off. Armed with Hopesicles (frozen Otter Pops), hot cocoa, Jesus Graphic Novels, the EvangeCube, and—most importantly—the love of Christ, we shared the Gospel across four outreach sessions in three days.

Every conversation was more than a moment; it was a seed planted and a prayer in motion.

The stories below represent people who heard the truth, felt loved, or asked for prayer. As you read, please take a moment to lift at least one name before the Lord.

On August 2, our outreach team set up at the Colorado Springs Flea Market with a simple mission:

👉 Meet people where they are
👉 Share the hope of Christ
👉 Place God’s Word into willing hands

Throughout the day, we connected with vendors, shoppers, and seekers:

  • 💬 A jewelry vendor unsure of her salvation found clarity and assurance in Christ.

  • 🧸 A grieving widow raising children alone received prayer and renewed peace.

  • 🛠️ A former concrete worker heard the message of grace for the first time in years.

  • 🙏 A Catholic retiree declined prayer but still said she felt “blessed.”

Others, like Ethan, Sandi, and Liam, accepted Bibles and invitations — each one challenged to open the Scriptures and discover Jesus personally.

📖 One highlight:
A group of young adults, disillusioned by church, stopped by. When asked if they wanted to talk about faith, one grinned:

“Do you want to chop it up?”
That opened a powerful, honest conversation about grace, healing, and belonging.

🍼 Danny & Baby Aubra – A young single father, burdened but standing firm, received prayer and an invite to The Sanctuary Church (TSC). Pray strength over his journey.

🛹 Paxton – Rolling in on his skateboard, he stopped long enough to hear truth and accept an invitation. Seeds planted.

🥀 Theresa – Recently rejected and displaced by family, she was prayed over and encouraged with hope and love in Christ.

🔁 Drew – Testimony of grace: he returned to God while in prison, and now, ankle fractured, he radiates gratitude.

📚 Adam & Oliver – Both accepted literature pointing them toward Scripture. May the Word stir deep conviction.

✨ Emily & Others – Even those skeptical, pagan, or searching listened thoughtfully. Seeds were sown in soft soil.

By night’s end, 15+ people were touched with prayer, Scripture, and genuine care. Some moments were light; others, weighty and raw. All were divine appointments.

🌱 Keep praying. Keep planting. The harvest is His

At Colorado Springs’ Pride Parade, Tina, Shon, and Steve put vision into action with a simple, playful invite: “Come See the P.I.G.” Pink pigs wearing sunglasses were handed out, each tagged with a promise card: “If you are LGBTQ+… you are welcome here.”

🎉 The Pigs Were a Hit
Crowds clamored for them — even during an ice cream break, people approached asking for pigs and receiving God’s Word in a non-threatening way. By mid-day, we ran out of all 200 pigs and TSC cards before even reaching the parade route.

💧 Meeting Needs with Joy
Beyond pigs, we blessed folks with water, ice pops, and encouragement. When we ran out of cards, we improvised with QR codes to share our website. Every interaction was full of warmth and openness, even when God, Jesus, and church were mentioned.

🙏 Gospel Encounters
One highlight: Tyler, who longs for freedom from witchcraft, allowed prayer over his life. The only real resistance came from self-identified Satanists, yet even there, seeds were sown.

🌱 Fruitful, joyful, Spirit-led. Pray that those touched by pigs, prayers, and presence take their next step toward Christ.

🌱 Seeds were planted, prayers lifted, and music filled the air. Please join us in praying that every encounter at Territory Days bears fruit for God’s Kingdom.

💬 Tina – Shared Easter’s meaning with a Hindu couple who patiently listened and engaged. Seeds of truth were planted.

📸 Mel – Taking photos for tourists led to gospel moments. She gave a Spanish-speaking family a Reading & Studying the Bible booklet and invited several to Easter at The Sanctuary Church.

☕ Steve – Turned a coffee stop into a divine appointment with three young adults, Noah, Emerald, and Molly. They received HDL cards and graphic novels pointing to Jesus. Later, Brian & Angola listened as Steve explained the proof of God’s existence, the death and resurrection of Jesus, and why He is the only way.

🌍 From agnostics to seekers, from tourists to locals, God used a snowy park day to remind us: the mission field is all around us. Pray that every encounter grows into faith and fellowship

💬 John & Donna – John spent time with Donna, a believer frustrated over shifting cultural currents. Their long talk reminded her that hope is in Christ, not institutions. Pray she stays anchored in Him.

🙌 Steve – Met a small group handing out tracts who had been with us before. After reconnecting and giving them an HDL card, they expressed interest in joining us again. Pray they step fully into the harvest with us.

☕ Melany & Tina – Together with hot chocolate in hand, they connected with:

  • Kiera – Recently moved from Louisiana, works with adults with disabilities, searching for a church. Invited to The Sanctuary.

  • Tara – Loves Jesus but shared mixed beliefs. Pray for clarity and truth.

🙏 Shon & Bob – Met Marcus, a homeless man who knew Scripture deeply. They prayed with him for strength and provision. They also crossed paths with Joshua from Mesa Hills, faithfully preaching the Gospel.

🌱 Seeds sown, prayers lifted, and cocoa cups emptied — God was at work at the parade.
