Thoughtful Additions

Church Hurt

Ideas of what to add to the Church Hurt page:

  1. A Personal Acknowledgment of Pain:
  2. Practical Steps or Cautions: We could briefly suggest discernment (e.g., “Look for a community marked by humility and grace, not perfection”) or starting small (e.g., “A coffee with one trusted believer can be a first step”).
    • Where to add: In the sixth section or as a closing note.

  1. The Role of Forgiveness: Church hurt often involves bitterness or unforgiveness, which can block healing..
  2. A Call to Action: Add a clear “next step” could empower your audience. Something like, “Pray for God to lead you to one person or place where you can start again—He’s faithful to answer.”

Another idea:

Healing Through Fellowship: Paul and Barnabas’ Reconciliation
Church hurt sometimes comes from conflict with those you once trusted, like Paul and Barnabas splitting over John Mark (Acts 15:37-39). Their disagreement was sharp, yet later, Paul asks for Mark’s help (2 Timothy 4:11), hinting at restored fellowship. Barnabas, the “son of encouragement” (Acts 4:36), likely played a role in bridging that gap. Healing doesn’t always mean returning to the same people, but it can mean opening your heart to reconciliation or new allies. God uses fellowship—even after fractures—to mend what’s broken.
Call to Action: Reflect on a past hurt. Pray for peace about it, and if it’s safe, consider reaching out to someone from your story—or find a new “Barnabas” who can encourage you forward.

Find hope

Using the TV show The Chosen, a hyper realistic period piece, as inspiration for the visual style, generate an image of Jesus traveling with five of his disciples plus two women; Mary and Martha (8 people total, including Jesus), all aged between 20 and 40 years old. Set the scene in a time period realistic to the ancient Near East, with the group appearing weary, worn, dirty and burdened, with packs and/or satchels on their shoulders or backs. The background should feature an olive grove, with the group walking along a well-worn path. Position the camera about 60 feet away to capture their casual, period-accurate clothes and relaxed poses clearly but not intrusively. Ensure the group occupies the lower half of the frame, with the surrounding landscape filling the upper half and edges. Add a distant storm with lightning.  The group in the scene should look active; walking and talking in natural poses.

1st century home church gathering

Create an image inspired by the cinematic style of the TV series The Chosen, depicting a warm, intimate 1st-century gathering of early Christians inside a 1st century Jewish rough-hewn stone house that feels like a cozy, lived-in home. The scene centers on a diverse group of people—adult men, women, and several children—dressed in earthy, 1st-century robes and tunics in various colors, gathered around a sturdy wooden table. They are breaking bread together, smiling, and praying, their faces glowing with joy and fellowship. On the table, a scroll representing an early Bible, a couple of clay water jugs, and several mugs—some held in people’s hands, others on the table. Surround the table with flickering oil lamps casting a golden glow over the scene, emphasizing warmth and unity. The room should feel like a 1st-century living space: add woven tapestries on the walls, clay pots, kettles, and jars on shelves or in corners, and simple wooden stools or benches. A small window reveals a starry night sky outside. Ensure the lighting is in the realistic, textured style of The Chosen. The aspect ratio should be 16:9. Make sure that there are men, women and children in the scene.

I want to have both a "support" and "subscribe" area/button/field in the same box on the home page.  So combining the functionality of img 1 and img 2 (just the support button) using custom CSS applied to image 3.  I've included inspect codes from the respective web areas from img 1 and img2.

Below is a complete block of code that combines the "support" and "subscribe" functionalities into a single box on your homepage, styled with custom CSS. This code is designed to be copied and pasted directly into the custom code window on your GoDaddy Website Builder platform (as shown in Image 5 of your descriptions). It creates a cohesive purple box containing both the subscription form and the support button, maintaining their respective functionalities and aesthetics based on your provided screenshots.

Customization Notes

Width Adjustment: If the box is too wide or narrow, adjust the max-width value in .combined-section.

Payment Integration: The support button currently uses a placeholder image for payment icons. Replace the <button> with a PayPal form or link if needed (e.g., from Image 4). Example:

html

<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top">

  <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_donations">

  <input type="hidden" name="business" value="your-email@example.com">

  <input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="HopeDealers.life Support">

  <input type="hidden" name="currency_code" value="USD">

  <button class="support-button" type="submit">SUPPORT OUR MISSION</button>

</form>

Colors and Fonts: The purple color (#6A0DAD) and font styles match your site’s theme. Modify these in the <style> section if your design changes.

Class Names: If your existing elements use different class names, update the CSS selectors to match (e.g., check with Developer Tools as in Images 3 and 4).

This code provides a responsive, visually appealing solution that integrates both features into one block, streamlining your homepage design while preserving functionality
